In this introductory module, we will delve into the profound significance of dreams in past civilizations, the value and function of dreams today, and dreams as an expression of Nature. We will explore the traditional viewpoint that regards dreams as symbolic, and equip ourselves with tools to decipher the language of our dreams.
In this module, we embark on a comprehensive exploration of the different approaches to dream work, aimed at deepening our understanding of dreams as embodied living stories within the psyche of the dreamer. The cornerstone of this module lies in recognizing the profound significance of dreams as dynamic expressions of the unconscious mind.
In this module, you will learn to recognize the different types of dreams and explore their underlying meanings and significance. This includes everything from the linear narratives of ‘mundane’ dreams (dreams about your personality) to the symbolic depth of archetypal (big) dreams. The section also covers anxiety dreams, nightmares, and various other types of dreams.
In this module, you will learn to recognize dream figures, including animals, as different aspects of the dreamer's psyche. You will track and identify various representations of the Self through these figures, understanding them as projections of the inner world that can facilitate integration and wholeness within the dreamer's psyche. This module delves deeper into the Dramatis Personae (people) of Dreams introduced in the first module.
