Video Lecture: Deepening dream work: Tracking aspects of self & universal themes / patterns

In Module 4 of our dream course, participants will embark on an immersive exploration of the intricate dynamics at play within the realm of dreams. This module focuses on deepening professionals' capacity to perceive dream figures, including animals, as reflections of different aspects of the dreamer's psyche and deciphering the universal themes and patterns that pervade the dream landscape.

  • Tracking Aspects of Self: Participants will learn to track and identify various aspects of the Self represented by dream figures. Professionals will learn to discern the symbolic significance of different dream characters, recognizing them as projections of the dreamer's inner world. By cultivating empathy and understanding for these diverse aspects of the self, professionals can facilitate integration and wholeness within the dreamer's psyche.
  • Dream Metaphors and Symbols: Dream metaphors and symbols serve as potent signals that illuminate the issues and themes requiring attention within the dreamer's life. Professionals will learn to decipher the symbolic language of dreams, recognizing how metaphors and symbols reflect underlying psychological dynamics and unresolved conflicts.
  • Universal Themes and Patterns: Dreams often embody universal themes and patterns that resonate across cultures and epochs. By recognizing and elucidating these universal themes and patterns, professionals can facilitate deeper insights and understanding within the therapeutic process.
  • Addressing Repetitive Themes: Repetitive themes in dreams serve as potent indicators of unresolved psychological material requiring attention. Professionals will learn strategies for addressing and processing repetitive themes within the therapeutic setting, guiding clients in exploring the underlying significance of these recurring motifs and effecting meaningful change within themselves.
